Instead, what I discovered was more like a happy marriage of a Hallmark Channel Romance and Hallmark Channel Movies and Mysteries story. I think I thought they were a modern Harlequin romance (if anyone remembers those). I’m not sure how I came to believe that her books were not to my taste. This book, Shelter in Place, and the author proved wrong my misconceptions about Nora Roberts’ work, at least in this book.
